Ty Onnen is a beautifully converted traditional stone outbuilding that sleeps 6, and is located at the end of a rural farm lane, in the heart of St David’s countryside.
A self-catering dog-friendly 3 bedroom cottage that boasts a Master Double bedroom, downstairs Twin Bedroom and upstairs Mezzanine Twin Bedroom, with full bathroom suite (inc. shower), a lovely open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, and large enclosed garden area.

The Blue Lagoon slate quarry at Abereiddy, is only 2 miles away and is a popular spot for many tourists. Known for it’s iconic aqua blue waters, many visitors enjoy a leisurely swim, whilst others enjoy more active pursuits such as cliff-diving and coasteering. There really is something for everyone to enjoy.
The blue-flag award-winning Whitesands beach is within a short distance and is widely regarded as one of the best surfing beaches in Wales. If you prefer more gentle leisure pursuits, the mile-long expanse of golden sand provides the perfect opportunity for a stroll, exploring the rock pools teaming with fascinating sea life.

We visited on a group holiday with 6 adults & had a fab time! It's a great space, the kitchen is very functional & having a washing line out back was really helpful after a beach day! The location is great - It's super close to the centre of St David's & Whitesands Beach. Janek was really friendly & they obviously put in a lot of effort to keep the place tidy. The dogs were the stars of the show, we all loved playing fetch in the yard! The only thing that we could complain about is the beds (double & top bedroom) were extremely uncomfortable - bad backs beware 😞 But everything else was perfect & an absolute bargain given what we paid. We'd definitely recommend a visit & we'd love to go back. Thank you!

Amazing location, surrounded by beautiful countryside landscape and close to great beach (Whitesand) and St David’s. The host has been super friendly and helpful with guidance, suggestions and useful historical facts to make the most of the local amenities. This would be a great spot for hikers and people interested in nature, history and welsh culture. We stayed with two young children and the place was safe, secure and very intriguing for them to explore - they loved to be greated by the farm’s friendly dogs. The cottage itself was clean, spacious, nicely furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

A lovely, quiet country location. As described in previous reviews... a few spiders and cobwebs around the place, as well as random peanuts and boiled sweets on the floor! But our kids loved the lambs, cows, dogs and bath. We didn't realise towels weren't included but David kindly provided some for everyone.

We loved it so much we want to return. The space is brilliant and worked well for us all. Perfect location for reaching the many beautiful beaches and getting onto the coastal paths. St Davids is a beautiful town steeped in history - the cathedral is breathtaking. David is charming and took time out to introduce us to the lambs and puppies as well as sharing his passion for sustainable conscientious farming. The sheep dogs are always willing to greet you in the morning and join in some stick throwing games too so you feel very much part of the place. The team are super fast at responding to any query so cannot fault any of it. Thank you. You get a thumbs up from all six of us 👍👍👍👍👍👍.

We had such a wonderful week staying here, the house is beautiful with an amazing feature spiral staircase and lots of space. Our hosts were very responsive and ensured we had all we needed to be comfortable. Our children really loved the freedom of the outdoor spaces, the games room and playing with the beautiful dogs. The bonus was having neighbouring visitors in the adjacent holiday let who had children so friends were made and lots of happy memories created. St David’s is an excellent location for the local beaches, there are so many it is hard to decide which to visit, all are stunning and none are crowded. The boat trip to Ramsey Island was stunning. All in all we have had a really wonderful holiday, despite the weather which tried its best to stop us at times!! Thank you David and co x

Host on site was lovely and gave us all the information we needed on arrival. Beautiful cottage, very old so felt a bit damp at times but that comes with the age of the property, and the price for school holidays was very reasonable for the area. Close to stunning beaches and visiting the blue lagoon is a must. Lovely dogs obviously taught not to enter the cottages but ready for a stroke and a throw of whatever ball/tree they have found! We were given some homegrown courgettes which were delicious! Overall we would definitely recommend, we had a lovely holiday, thank you.

We had a group of five people so this worked out as excellent value for money. The farm is in the middle of nowhere but that suited us well for a walking holiday. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the garden was surprisingly large. The cottage wasn't spotless and there were some spiders but both of those are to be expected from a historic farm building. There are four playful dogs on site so not suitable for anyone with a fear of dogs! Our main issue was that the front door lock was broken so we could not secure our belongings, although being so remote security was not a major concern. We reported the lock to someone on site but the person I had been messaging wasn't any of the people on site so it was a little tricky to get in touch with our hosts. In addition, the heating did not work - not usually an issue in August but it was cold and rainy during our trip. These issues did not mar our holiday and overall we had a very pleasant stay.

A large open space for 5 of us, would have slept another adult comfortably. Large private garden, useful kitchen with all utensils etc provided. Towels are not included which we noted from previous reviews and was not a problem. Great location, not far from St Davids and the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. Straightforward check in/ out with the instructions sent, do follow the directions given as the postcode won't take you directly to the house. Parking for two cars outside, and lovely friendly dogs to greet us. All was perfect for our stay and great value for money!

Great stay. A beautifully renovated barn/cottage that was clean, spacious and comfortable. It's on a farm so be prepared for mud etc etc, but that was part of its charm for us (sheep dogs to play with, lambs being bottle-fed, walks straight out of the door). A warm welcome from both David and the farm dogs. House was clean, functional and spacious. There were five in our party and the layout and accommodation was just right for us all. A great location with good access to various beaches, historical sites and natural wonders. Great food at the Bishops in St. David's. Would love to return and do the boat ride when better weather is guaranteed. If you want to be in the middle of nowhere, then this is your place - but close enough to the facilities at St David's to ensure you are not alone!!!

Lovely stay in a absolutely charming farm cottage! Cottage is very well equipped, clean and has a lovely feature spiral staircase. The farm dogs are brilliant and are so well behaved, the kids loves playing with them! Only an eight minute drive away from Whitesands beach, and even less of a drive to St David’s. There are plenty of walks too around the countryside or along the coastal path - the views were breathtaking! We really enjoyed our four days here, and will definitely stay again, David and the farm lads are all very helpful and friendly too.

A fabulous isolated converted barn. Whilst in the middle of nowhere it served as a perfect base for us to explore the surrounding Pembrokeshire coastal towns and sights. The open plan living room, kitchen/diner functioned well and the private garden area is a nice addition. Having a dishwasher in a small chalet is a marvelous idea. Parking outside the door is great and the dogs were friendly, polite and a hit with the children. The owners are very kind with a free games room and allowing the children to interact with the lambs. Everything worked well, great shower pressure and the under floor heating is seriously good. Recommend if you're looking for hidden hideaway away from the crowds.

We all had a great stay and highly recommend the cottage and its location. We couldn't car share and were relieved there was space for 4 cars. Dog lovers will be happy to know there were 5 beautiful and very friendly, well-behaved dogs waiting to greet us. The hand-carved stairs were a lot of fun and the beds were warm and comfy so we all slept well. The shower was great, always hot and had a nice amount of power. All 4 of us were able to shower every day with no cold surprises! We would all go back.

We had a fantastic week here, ideally placed for exploring Pembrokeshire. Based on a farm in a rural location, it was relaxing and peaceful. David and the farm guys were very welcoming and helpful. The collie dogs are gorgeous, very friendly and playful, a couple of them accompanied us on our evening walks! The accommodation is open plan with a spacious kitchen, dining and lounge area. Bedroom 3 is on the mezzanine level, reached by the quirky tree staircase. Only negatives were the lack of light in the kitchen, it would be hard to cook on a dark winters evening, and some of the crockery was chipped and a bit tired looking. The coast path is an easy walk away, to the right of Pen Beri Hill, fantastic walks with stunning scenery in both directions. It's a short drive to St Davids with the wonderful cathedral and Bishops Palace. We also loved Whitesands and Newgale beaches. Thanks David for a lovely week!

Stunning location for this spacious barn conversion! Very close to St David’s and lots of amenities and walkable to beaches and beautiful countryside. 2 really good sized bedrooms and a third upper bedroom on a mezzanine level so plenty of space on offer. Great sized garden with views to Pen Beri Hill and the wonderful sunset. Lovely Collie Dogs in the farmyard entrance who were well behaved and keen to play with sticks and balls if you fancy entertaining them! They even came a walk with us around the locality on 2 sunny evenings! Bedrooms well equipped with reading lights, bring a hairdryer if you need one. Lounge could do with a rug maybe and some cushions for the sofa. TV with the usual channels. Wifi is not available at the moment and the host isn’t sure when this will be fixed. The heating is also turned off for the summer and me being a bit soft, I felt the cold a little when we first arrived as it was a rainy day. Our Host kindly supplied a heater to warm us up. A bathroom radiator would be a really good idea just to dry towels and swim things after being on the beach as otherwise you’re reliant on it being sunny to dry things which our Great British summers aren’t always! Kitchen was fairly well equipped, some lights not working throughout and just general small maintenance things but I’m sure the host will take care of of these. We ate out quite a lot so it didn’t bother us but it would be quite dark for cooking in the evenings, all easily rectified though.

This is a sympathetically converted barn with underfloor heating in a farmyard. The location is great as easy to drive to st davids and many beautiful beaches and the coast. Good walking over the fields from the farm, approx 30 mins walk to the coast. Towels not provided unless requested . Host David very friendly and helpful.

Ty Onnen is a thoughtfully restored barn on a small farm minutes from the shops of St David’s yet with a feeling of being in the middle of nature. The cottage was warm, cosy and well equipped with comfortable beds and complete silence which meant we slept like a dream.The coastline is stunning and we were lucky enough to have great weather so did a lot of exploring. The kids loved playing with the friendly farm dogs and helping David to feed the lambs was a definite highlight. All together highly recommended.
