Southwinds, Solva Dog Friendly
A cosy bungalow with views over St Brides Bay
Property
Southwinds, Upper Solva
Southwinds is a welcoming detached bungalow in an enviable position in Upper Solva, enjoying uninterrupted views across beautiful St Brides Bay. Tucked away from the road along a short gravel path, the property has a peaceful, secluded feel while still being within easy reach of the village, harbour and Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Inside the property, the bright open-plan lounge and dining area leads into a cosy conservatory, where the sea views provide a wonderful backdrop throughout the day. An open fire makes the living space particularly inviting during the cooler months, while the well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay.
Southwinds sleeps up to four guests across two bedrooms. The main bedroom features a comfortable king-size bed and a large picture window looking out towards the sea and harbour, while the second twin bedroom enjoys a pleasant outlook over the garden. The family bathroom includes a bath with shower above. Wi-Fi, television and a washing machine are also provided.
And don’t worry, there’s no need to leave your furry friends behind. We know dogs are part of the family too, so Southwinds welcomes them along for your Pembrokeshire escape.
Southwinds is an ideal choice for couples, families and walkers looking for a relaxed Pembrokeshire escape, combining wonderful sea views, comfortable accommodation and one of the county’s most picturesque coastal villages right on the doorstep.
The Exterior
Outside, there is a generous garden and patio area where guests can sit back with a morning coffee or evening drink and make the most of the peaceful coastal surroundings. The bungalow is set approximately 30 metres along a gravel path from the road, helping it feel nicely tucked away. There is no allocated parking at the property, although there is an unloading area at the end of the path with roadside parking generally available nearby.
The Surrounding
The location is one of Southwinds’ greatest attractions. Upper Solva sits above the picturesque harbour village, with panoramic views across St Brides Bay. Wander down towards Lower Solva and you’ll find the sheltered tidal harbour alongside pubs, cafés, independent shops and galleries. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs through the village, opening up miles of spectacular coastal scenery, secluded coves and dramatic headlands to explore on foot.
The historic city of St Davids is around four miles away, making Southwinds an excellent base for exploring the wider St Davids Peninsula and some of the best-known coastline in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
